Make it Lux Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy

Make it Lux is for creating product campaign content, including studio images, storyboards, cinematic ads, product videos, and public gallery examples. These guidelines explain what is and is not allowed.

These guidelines apply to uploads, prompts, directions, generated content, public gallery posts, profile details, support messages, and any other use of the Service.

1. Be Honest About Rights

Only upload or generate content you have the right to use.

You must not upload, publish, or use:

• photos, videos, logos, packaging, artwork, designs, music, or brand assets without permission;
• another person's likeness without permission where permission is required;
• private, confidential, or commercially sensitive information you are not allowed to share;
• content that infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity, moral rights, or other rights.

2. No Impersonation or Deception

You must not:

• impersonate another person, brand, creator, company, or public figure;
• suggest endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or approval where none exists;
• create deceptive ads, false product claims, fake reviews, fake before/after claims, or misleading commercial content;
• use generated content to mislead customers about a product's qualities, ingredients, performance, origin, availability, or real-world appearance.

3. No Harmful or Illegal Content

You must not upload, request, generate, publish, or use content that is:

• illegal or intended to facilitate illegal activity;
• hateful, harassing, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory;
• sexually explicit involving minors, exploitative, or abusive;
• non-consensual intimate content;
• violent, graphic, or intended to shock or harass;
• invasive of privacy or exposing private information;
• defamatory, fraudulent, or malicious;
• malware, phishing, scams, or other harmful technical content.

4. People, Likeness, and Consent

If your uploads or outputs include people, you are responsible for obtaining any required consent.

Do not use the Service to:

• create non-consensual likenesses;
• create misleading endorsements;
• create harmful deepfakes;
• sexualise, exploit, or harass people;
• use a person's identity in advertising without permission.

5. Public Gallery Standards

The public gallery and discovery feed should show product content, creative examples, and user work that is appropriate for a broad audience.

We may remove, hide, crop, decline, or feature content at our discretion.

Do not publish content that includes:

• personal contact details;
• private addresses or documents;
• offensive, adult, hateful, or violent material;
• content you do not want publicly displayed;
• content that violates platform rules or third-party rights.

6. No Scraping, Bots, or Abuse

You must not:

• scrape, crawl, copy, harvest, or download content at scale;
• create accounts, upload files, redeem codes, or trigger generations using bots or scripts;
• overload, probe, attack, or disrupt the Service;
• bypass rate limits, usage limits, payments, credits, safety systems, or moderation;
• abuse free trials, promo codes, chargebacks, refunds, or multiple accounts;
• resell accounts, credits, outputs, access tokens, or promo codes unless we expressly allow it.

7. Product and Advertising Responsibility

Generated outputs may be used in commercial contexts, but you are responsible for reviewing them before use.

Before publishing or advertising with an output, check:

• product accuracy;
• ingredient, performance, health, beauty, sustainability, pricing, or availability claims;
• compliance with advertising laws and platform policies;
• intellectual property and likeness permissions;
• required disclosures for sponsored, affiliate, or branded content.

8. Moderation and Enforcement

We may take action if we believe content or behaviour violates these guidelines, our Terms, law, third-party rights, or the safety and integrity of the Service.

Actions may include:

• refusing to process a generation;
• removing or hiding public content;
• declining to feature content;
• returning, withholding, or revoking promotional credits;
• suspending access to features;
• suspending or terminating accounts;
• reporting serious abuse where required or appropriate.
