This Privacy Policy explains how Make it Lux collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our website, applications, AI content generation tools, public gallery, discovery feed, payments, and related services.

2. Personal Information We Collect
We may collect the following kinds of information.
Account and contact information
- name or display name;
- email address;
- login and authentication information;
- account status, plan, subscription, and credit balance;
- support messages and feedback.
Uploaded and generated content
- product photos;
- reference images and videos;
- brand assets, logos, documents, and creative directions;
- prompts, answers, briefs, storyboards, captions, and instructions;
- AI-generated images, videos, and related metadata;
- public gallery posts, featured content, and discovery feed activity.
Uploaded photos or videos may incidentally include people, faces, locations, documents, logos, or other personal information. You should only upload content that you have permission to use.
Usage and technical information
- pages visited, buttons clicked, feature usage, timestamps, device and browser information;
- IP address, approximate location derived from IP, referral URL, logs, diagnostics, and error reports;
- generation job status, request IDs, model/provider metadata, performance, and failure information.
Payment and billing information
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. We may receive payment status, customer ID, subscription ID, invoice ID, transaction metadata, billing email, plan, and purchase history. We do not store full card details.
Communications
If you contact us, we collect the information you send, including email address, message content, attachments, and support history.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information:
- directly from you when you create an account, upload content, answer questions, generate content, publish to the gallery, redeem promo codes, or contact us;
- automatically through cookies, local storage, logs, analytics, and security tools;
- from payment processors such as Stripe;
- from third-party providers that help us operate the Service.
4. Why We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage accounts;
- provide the Service and generate requested outputs;
- process uploads, prompts, storyboards, images, and videos;
- manage Lux Credits, subscriptions, purchases, refunds, and promo codes;
- show account history, My Shoots, public gallery, and discovery feed content;
- provide customer support;
- secure the Service and prevent fraud, spam, scraping, abuse, and unauthorised access;
- troubleshoot, test, monitor, and improve features;
- moderate content and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines;
- comply with legal obligations, respond to complaints, and protect rights;
- send service messages and, where permitted, product updates or marketing communications.
5. AI Processing and Generated Content
Make it Lux uses third-party systems and AI model providers to process user inputs and generate outputs. This may require sending your uploaded content, prompts, instructions, and related metadata to those providers.
For private content, we use uploads and outputs to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. We do not publish private content publicly unless you choose to publish it, feature it, or give us permission.
If you publish or submit content to public areas, that content may be visible to other users and may be used by Make it Lux in public gallery, discovery, marketing, examples, and promotional materials as described in our Terms.
6. When We Share Information
We may share information with:
- hosting and database providers;
- AI model and media generation providers;
- image, video, storage, transcoding, and delivery providers;
- payment processors;
- analytics, logging, email, security, and support providers;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors;
- law enforcement, regulators, courts, or rights holders where required or permitted by law;
- successors or acquirers if we sell, merge, restructure, or transfer part of the business.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Third-Party Providers
The Service may use providers such as Supabase, Fal, Mux, Cloudinary, Stripe, Cloudflare, and other infrastructure, AI, analytics, email, and support providers.
These providers may process information in countries outside Australia, including the United States and other jurisdictions where they or their subprocessors operate.
Third-party services have their own privacy practices. We choose providers intended to support the Service securely, but we do not control every aspect of their operations.
8. Overseas Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to overseas recipients, including service providers and subprocessors located in the United States, Europe, and other countries where our providers operate.
By using the Service, you understand that your information may be stored or processed outside your country of residence.
9. Public Content
If you publish or submit content to the public gallery, discovery feed, examples, or featured areas, that content may be viewed, shared, indexed, copied, saved, or used by others.
Do not publish content that you want to keep private or that you do not have permission to share.
You may request removal of public content by contacting support@makeitlux.com. We will take reasonable steps to remove it from active public display, but cached copies, backups, and copies outside our control may persist.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, session state, analytics, performance, and product improvement.

11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure.
Security measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, provider security controls, logging, monitoring, and operational restrictions.
No online service is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and telling us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, manage accounts, maintain records, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information. For example:
- account information is usually retained while the account exists;
- billing and transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting, and legal reasons;
- generated media may remain available in My Shoots or public gallery until deleted or removed;
- backups and logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.
13. Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting support@makeitlux.com.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may be retained where required by law, legitimate business records, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or backup processes.
14. Marketing Communications
We may send you service messages, transactional notices, account alerts, and product updates.
Where required, we will ask for consent before sending marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send service, security, billing, or account-related messages.
15. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
