Make it Lux Credit and Refund Policy

This Credit and Refund Policy explains how Lux Credits, subscriptions, top-ups, promotional credits, failed generations, and refund requests work on Make it Lux.

This policy forms part of the Make it Lux Terms of Service.

1. Lux Credits

Lux Credits are prepaid service credits used to access Make it Lux generation features, including Studio Images, Cinematic Ads, Lux Product Videos, revisions, and related features.

Lux Credits are not cash, are not a stored-value facility, are not transferable, and cannot be redeemed for money except where required by law.

2. Credit Prices and Generation Costs

Generation costs are displayed in the Service before you start a paid generation where practical.

Prices, credit costs, included credits, and plan allowances may change over time. The price shown in the app at the time you start a generation is the applicable price for that generation.

3. Tester Package

The Tester package is a one-time introductory package.

Current Tester package:

  • $29 one-time;
  • 650 Lux Credits;
  • intended for a first product campaign;
  • may be used for one batch of 8 Studio Images and one Cinematic Ad plus one revision, or for up to 3 Lux Product Videos depending on selected durations and current credit costs;
  • first-time only unless we state otherwise.

The Tester package is not a subscription.

4. Subscriptions

Paid subscription plans may include monthly Lux Credits and plan features.

If you subscribe, your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before renewal. Subscription details, renewal period, price, included credits, and plan features are shown at checkout or in the pricing page.

Monthly included credits are granted according to the subscription terms for your plan.

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. Unless required by law or expressly stated, cancellation does not automatically refund the current billing period.

5. Top-Ups

Lux Credit top-ups are available only to eligible paid members, such as Starter, Pro, and Business subscribers.

Top-ups are not available to Free users or Tester-only users unless we expressly state otherwise.

Top-up credits are added after successful payment confirmation.

6. Promotional Credits

We may issue promotional credits, tester codes, referral credits, goodwill credits, or other non-paid credits.

Promotional credits:

  • may be one-time use;
  • may expire;
  • may be limited to particular users, plans, or campaigns;
  • have no cash value;
  • cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged, or redeemed for money;
  • may be revoked if obtained or used through fraud, abuse, error, or breach of our Terms.

7. Reserved Credits

When you start a paid generation, Lux Credits may be reserved before third-party AI or media processing begins.

Reserved credits are held while the generation is running. Reserved credits are not available for other generations until the generation succeeds, fails, is released, or is otherwise resolved.

If a generation succeeds, the reserved credits are finalised and deducted.

If a system or provider failure occurs before successful completion, reserved credits may be returned automatically.

8. Failed Generations

If a generation fails because of a system failure, provider failure, timeout, or other issue controlled by the Service or its infrastructure, we will generally return the reserved credits automatically.

Credits may not be returned automatically where:

  • the generation succeeds but you do not like the creative result;
  • the output requires iteration but is technically delivered;
  • the issue is caused by the uploaded image, direction, prompt, rights issue, policy violation, unsupported content, or user error;
  • you abandon or duplicate a workflow after a successful result;
  • we reasonably determine abuse, fraud, or policy circumvention.

We may still grant goodwill credits at our discretion.

9. AI Output Quality and Iteration

AI generation is probabilistic. Outputs may contain artifacts, product inaccuracies, distorted details, unexpected styling, unreadable text, or other imperfections.

Make it Lux is designed for iteration. Unless required by law, dissatisfaction with style, taste, composition, or subjective quality of a completed output does not automatically entitle you to a refund or credit return.

Where the Service offers discounted revisions or "try another take" options, those options are priced separately and shown in the app where practical.

10. Refunds for Purchases

You may request a refund by contacting support@makeitlux.com.

Subject to applicable law, refunds for change of mind are generally not available once paid credits have been used.

If you request a refund for an unused initial purchase within 7 days, we may refund the purchase at our discretion or where required by law.

Subscription renewals, top-ups, and promotional credits are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly agreed by us.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies consumer guarantees or any other rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws that cannot be excluded.

If the Service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under applicable law. The available remedy may depend on the nature of the problem.

12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend affected credits, subscriptions, or account access while the dispute is reviewed.

If a chargeback is successful for credits already used, we may deduct the corresponding Lux Credits, suspend access, or take other reasonable steps to prevent misuse.

13. Expiry

Credit expiry depends on the plan, package, promotion, or purchase terms shown at the time of issue.

If credits expire, they are removed from the account and cannot be used unless required by law or we agree otherwise.

14. Mistakes and Abuse

If credits are added, deducted, priced, displayed, or refunded incorrectly because of an error, bug, exploit, or abuse, we may correct the account balance and related records.

You must not exploit credit bugs, promo code errors, multiple accounts, automation, chargebacks, refunds, or workflow loopholes.
